Diagnosis and Part Selection Advice:
How did you know this part needed replacement? Why did you choose a certain brand/part number?
Our Mazda MX3 1.6 1993 had been leaking oil for a while just a little but it was getting worse.I knew it was the oil sealer ring on the crankshaft on the belt side. I choose the part because of the low price ,compared to Pepboys and Autozone it was 1/3 of their price with shipping and handling.I have just one word for the service and speed ,AMAZING.

What came in the box? Were additional nuts, bolts, sealant, etc. needed for the repair?
Just the sealer ring but how it was packed was great
Repair / Installation tips:
Special tools needed? Have to remove other parts to reach this one? Any left-hand threads, sharp edges, messy fluids or other pitfalls to avoid?
Yes I had been thinking about what tool I needed to get of the beltdrive on the crankshaft and I had been asking myself if i needed a tool to pull it of. First you have to remove the belts for alternator,ac and power steering two belts .I was greatly surprised, I losen the big center bolt and just pulled the pulley of with my hands ,sweet job. I removed the belt cover and loosen the bolt on tension wheel and used a screw driver move it away from belt and tighten the bolt again. Removed the belt,DO NOT TURN CRANKSHAFT WHEN BELT IS REMOVED!!!!! and removed the the belt pulley with my fingers, sweet. Oil sealer ring came out easily and the new one went in the same way.
Put the belt back on and loosen the bolt on tension wheel do not tighten more than spring do,tighten bolt and you are almost ther.Good luck
