Diagnosis and Part Selection Advice:

How did you know this part needed replacement? Why did you choose a certain brand/part number?

Check engine light was on. Read code by enabling obd (check engine) port diagnostic. For the Honda del sol it was a matter of jumping the wire and reading the flashes from the check engine light. I googled honda-check engine code and found plenty of info on the internet

What came in the box? Were additional nuts, bolts, sealant, etc. needed for the repair?

O2 sensor and antiseize lubricant to coat threads with simple instructions

Repair / Installation tips:

Special tools needed? Have to remove other parts to reach this one? Any left-hand threads, sharp edges, messy fluids or other pitfalls to avoid?
O2 socket was purchased for $11 from local auto parts store. Of course when you have a 13 yr old car with 108000 miles the sensor is solidily seized. From past experience I used PB Blaster to see if the threads would release......of course not. Remove the exhaust heat shield carefully as these threads were somewhat seized but with a liberal dose of PB blaster tey came undone. Apply heat from a MAP solder/torch....propane doesn't get hot enough and the heat finally loosen the threads. Install is straightforward just watch out for the threads being buggered from the exhaust gases. From my prior O2 removals I have a tap die that cleaned out the threads, otherwise be very carefull not to damage the threads or you'll never get this off again.
Not a fun job...but at least there is plenty of room to do this in the engine compartment....a less restrictive space and I'd say off to the local mechanic.
