Diagnosis and Part Selection Advice:
How did you know this part needed replacement? Why did you choose a certain brand/part number?
The electric fuel pump in the tank seems to be a poor design for this year only. It requires a high pressure to work. One pump failure was because
the psi was low by 3 psi's. The motor would run but would not start without using starting fluid. Use a fuel gauge hooked to the fuel line
located on the right side next to the distributor. Check the book pressure carefully because even a few psi's low will prevent the engine
from starting.

What came in the box? Were additional nuts, bolts, sealant, etc. needed for the repair?
Repair / Installation tips:
Special tools needed? Have to remove other parts to reach this one? Any left-hand threads, sharp edges, messy fluids or other pitfalls to avoid?
My vehicle is an S10 pickup. After 3 pumps failing in 3 years, I finally cut an access hole in the bed to gain access to the fuel pump without having to drop the driveline and fuel tank. Covered the hole in the bed with a piece of heavy tin and self-tapping screws. To cut the hole, I used a disk grinder. Get a rough estimate of the pump location, cut a small hole, take a look around in the hole and make the hole bigger to gain access over the pump. I should have done this after the first pump failure.
