Diagnosis and Part Selection Advice:

How did you know this part needed replacement? Why did you choose a certain brand/part number?

Haynes repair manual for Aspire/Festiva troubleshooting section recommended this area if / when no spark is found at the spark plugs/ coil center wire/. Troubleshooting began with "...engine turns over but will not start"; section. Discovered lst of 3 fusible links was broken/burned through and other 2 links were in good condition.
Also, in trying to determine the electrical connections for the Airflow meter unit -(on the meter's electrical side of the connector)- considered replacement of airflow meter incase part is unavailable.




Part Comments

What came in the box? Were additional nuts, bolts, sealant, etc. needed for the repair?


Have not received/ordered "fusible links" or even the VFM Vane airflow meter either yet.





Repair / Installation tips:

Special tools needed? Have to remove other parts to reach this one? Any left-hand threads, sharp edges, messy fluids or other pitfalls to avoid?
Regular hand tool used; need to remove this part to get to water pump/ timing belt,cover areas.
