How did you know this part needed replacement? Why did you choose a certain brand/part number?
1989 vw jetta Parking brake cable was broken. Need to replace in pairs. Dorman parts-cable is 69 inches, needs to be 60.5 inches and use the Wagner Brand it will be shorter.

What came in the box? Were additional nuts, bolts, sealant, etc. needed for the repair?
Right parts but cable is to long, no sizes are listed when ordering so you need to call the service number for exact sizing.
Repair / Installation tips:
Special tools needed? Have to remove other parts to reach this one? Any left-hand threads, sharp edges, messy fluids or other pitfalls to avoid?
Easy to replace, takes about 20 min per side. May need to drill out plastic retainer from old cable where it comes through the tube guide from inside the vehicle, use a 3/8 drill.
